S3 Mission - See, Supply, Succeed

See Your Vision

Every homeowner and contractor perceives a home or building uniquely, yet they all share a vision of the finished project and the 40+ years of durability that metal roofs provide. We begin by understanding this vision and the necessary steps to bring it to fruition.

Supply Resources

Once the strategy is laid out, S3 Metals safely and quickly coordinates with the metal roofing installers and the homeowner on delivery dates and onsite preparation requirements, and goes over all final details to ensure our onsite cuts and layouts are flawless.

Successful Completion

When we arrive on the job site, we already have a designated location for our fleet, deployment of our machines, and now it's a matter of expertly and precisely cutting metal roof panels and laying them out with the necessary accessories for quick installation.

For over 20 years, I’ve been in the home improvement industry, working directly with homeowners, contractors, and job sites across California. I started in gutters—building, scaling, and operating a successful company where speed, accuracy, and customer trust mattered every single day. That experience gave me a front-row seat to how projects actually get done—and more importantly, where they break down.

David Hahne

  • the rest of the story

Over time, I kept seeing the same issue, especially with metal roofing. Demand was growing fast. Homeowners wanted longer-lasting, low-maintenance solutions. Contractors wanted better materials, cleaner installs, and systems they could rely on. But the supply side was slow, unclear, and outdated. Ordering materials meant delays, back-and-forth quotes, inconsistent pricing, and too many moving parts between suppliers, fabricators, and installers.

    That gap kept getting bigger.

So I built S3 Metals to fix it.

S3 Metals was created to bring speed, clarity, and control to metal roofing supply. We focus on what actually matters—accurate materials, fast turnaround, and a streamlined process that works for both contractors and homeowners. We supply metal roofing panels, accessories, fasteners, and complete systems, with cutting, fabrication, and delivery built into the process. No confusion, no unnecessary delays.

We normally do not install, we stay in our lane, but we have the ability to if absolutely needed in a case by case scenario.

Our role is simple: get you the right materials, faster, with clear pricing and no friction. If you need installation, we connect you with trusted contractors who can get the job done right.

After two decades in the field, I’ve learned that most problems in construction don’t come from the work itself—they come from poor coordination, slow supply chains, and unclear expectations. S3 Metals was built to eliminate that.

This isn’t just another supply company. It’s a better system for how metal roofing materials should be ordered, produced, and delivered.

    And we’re just getting started.

frequently asked questions

  • Do you offer international shipping?

No, S3 Metals only ships our metal roofing and metal panels within our designated area in Northern and Central California.

  • What is your return policy?

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Due to the custom nature of metal roofing materials, no cancellations, returns, refunds, or exchanges are permitted after materials have been ordered, cut, fabricated, or scheduled for production. Buyer is solely responsible for verifying all plans, measurements, quantities, colors, and specifications prior to approval.

S3 Metals may, at its sole discretion, replace materials damaged during delivery or proven to contain manufacturer defects, provided Buyer notifies S3 Metals within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery and supplies supporting photographs and documentation. Claims related to installation damage, improper storage, handling, field modifications, weather exposure, or third-party installation errors are expressly excluded.

S3 Metals’ liability is strictly limited to replacement of the affected materials only and shall never include labor, installation, removal, project delays, consequential damages, or freight beyond the original order.

  • Paid Consultation Details:

Our 45-minute paid consultation is designed to help homeowners, contractors, builders, and property owners better understand their metal roofing or metal panel project before ordering materials.

During the consultation, an S3 Metals representative will review your project plans, discuss panel profile options, colors, gauges, trim details, accessories, underlayment needs, delivery logistics, and general project considerations. We can also help explain the differences between standing seam systems, exposed fastener systems, wall panels, and related components so you can make informed material decisions.

This consultation is educational and material-focused only. S3 Metals does not provide installation, engineering, architectural services, or field verification of measurements. All final quantities, plans, and installation requirements remain the responsibility of the buyer and/or their contractor.

The consultation fee is credited back toward your material invoice if you purchase materials directly from S3 Metals within thirty (30) days of the consultation date. This allows serious buyers to receive project guidance upfront while applying the fee toward their final material order.
